Community Services for Children and Families

• Identify current supports and services for children with ASD and their families
• Identify best practice models in the public and private sector
• Identify barriers and address gaps in the services and supports available
• Develop strategies to improve public and private sector awareness of the specific needs of children experiencing ASD and their families in employment, healthcare, housing, transportation, recreation, education, public safety and first responders
• Identify opportunities to enhance effectiveness through collaboration and integration of services and supports across the public and private sector
• Clarify issues and make recommendations related to eligibility
• Address eligibility for publicly funded services
• Address availability, competency, training, and quality of providers
