Senator Chris Edwards
Senator Chris Edwards resides in Eugene where he serves 128,000 people of Eugene and Junction City in the Oregon Senate. The father of two children, one of whom is affected by autism, Chris knows what it is like to raise a child with a disability. Since first being elected to the Oregon House of Representatives in 2006, Senator Edwards has dedicated himself to improving the lives of Oregon’s children and families. As the parent of a child with Autism, Chris understands first hand the importance of early intervention and early childhood special education. He toured the state as Chair of the Oregon Autism Project - the State Legislative Task Force on Autism during the summer of 2008. As the appointed Commissioner of the Oregon Commission on Autism Spectrum Disorder and chief legislative architect of the commission, Chris will continue to work at bettering the lives of children and adults with special needs and their families.
