Joyce Bernheim
Ms. Bernheim is the parent of a 15 year-old son with autism and a typically developing 17 year-old daughter. She obtained an M.Phil in French from Yale University in 1979 and a law degree from New York University School of Law in 1982. From 1982 through 2002 she was a health care business attorney representing a wide variety of health care organizations and practitioners.. All but a few of these years she was an associate and partner at Miller Nash LLP. Her many civic involvements have included membership and leadership positions on boards and committees of environmental, health law, health care, and educational organizations. Apart from working to improve services for children with autism, her abiding passions include food, neuroscience, and outdoor activities. She lives in Portland with her husband and children.
