Ensure that all individuals with ASD receive high quality, comprehensive and coordinated, family and patient centered health care.
Goals
- Improve the knowledge and skills of health care professionals and the supports available to them for providing health care to individuals with ASD.
- Improve the funding of medically indicated services for individuals with ASD.
- Improve the general health of individuals with ASD by promoting a healthy lifestyle, self-advocacy, self-determination, and self-management.
- Ensure that health care services for individuals with ASD are coordinated and integrated among health care providers, families and community professionals.
